The costumer's request

With a rapidly growing customer base, the client needed a partner able to support:

  • the efficient management of fast-increasing e-commerce orders
  • international distribution (UK, France, Spain, etc.)
  • a flexible system, capable of absorbing peaks and handling unforeseen events without slowdowns

The first goal was to secure operations after the start-up phase, building a solid, scalable and fully monitored process.

The Dap Sides method
After an initial observation phase, Dap Sides applied its structured 5-step approach:

  • Define – Mapping of the supply chain and operational priorities
  • Measure – Analysis of volumes, inbound and outbound flows, and SKUs
  • Analyze – Identification of bottlenecks and risk areas
  • Improve – Introduction of tailored processes and semifinished-logics to avoid delays caused by missing components
  • Control – Continuous monitoring of performance and shared SLAs

The specific request
Beyond standard e-commerce management, the client was looking for reliable logistics support for:

  • launching pop-up stores in Milan and Rome
  • developing the French market, with retail shipments to Sephora France and Spain
  • the ability to manage complex orders, integrating systems such as Penny Black and Namza

The solution adopted for our costumer

Starting from the initial analysis, Dap Sides designed a custom solution inspired by its proprietary 7C model: Connect, Create, Customize, Coordinate, Consolidate, Collaborate, Contribute.

The following elements were implemented:

  • An efficient WMS integrated with Everstox
  • The DAP LINK smart order processing system
  • A daily performance monitoring model
  • A customized standardization logic based on volumes, products and channels

All with an omnichannel approach covering both B2C and retail distribution.

Collaboration results

  • 2022 – Launch: 75,150 orders, 477,476 items handled in 5 months
  • 2023 – Growth: 210,061 orders, 1,577,236 items, 78 active SKUs
  • 2024 – Expansion: forecast of 400,000 orders and 2,400,000 items
  • 2025 – Consolidation: 420,000 orders, 2,650,000 items, 180 SKUs, expansion in France and via Sephora channels

Innovation and next steps

In 2024, Dap Sides launched a pilot project using Pick To Light technology to improve process efficiency and quality. The goal is to ensure consistent productivity and high service levels even during steep growth, while keeping costs under control.
